Our Process

Design is the cornerstone of most of our work. Our proven approach guarantees a successful renovation project every time.

The kick-off: Open communication is the foundation of every construction project we take on. We’ll talk about your lifestyle and vision and the best way to make it come to life. Design, budget, timelines—they’re all on the table to make sure everyone is on the same page.

The development: During the development phase, we take great care to learn about you and your home. Our team breaks down the planning into two main phases, the specifics of which are entirely project-dependent:

Preliminary development (typically 6-10 weeks)

Let the planning begin! Potential tasks could include:

  • Existing plan and permit searches with the City of Winnipeg
  • Development of floor plans,
  • Initial design concepts and mood boards
  • Structural consultation, if applicable
  • Preliminary construction plans, if applicable
  • Asbestos and other testing, depending on your home’s age

Aligning expectations is a key part of our process. By the end of this phase, you’ll have a clear vision of your project’s direction, the overall design concept and a projected cost range (within 15% accuracy of the total cost). Once we gather your feedback, we move onto the next phase.

Final development (typically 7-12 weeks)

We take the foundation we’ve built through to completion.

In this phase, we bring your project’s interior design to life. You’ll receive a complete design package that sets the stage for what’s to come, including:

  • Construction plans
  • Floor plans and elevations
  • 3D renderings, if applicable
  • Material selections
  • Walkthroughs with our team and trusted trade partners to firm up our planning.
  • And more!

Next, we present a detailed scope of work and fixed-price lump-sum construction agreement. Upon your approval, we set the project start date and place product orders to minimize any potential delays.

The build: Now the real fun begins! Your dedicated project manager is by your side for the entire project. We communicate with you through our custom app, where you can also access weekly schedules, project updates, daily logs, photos and more. Once complete, your project is warrantied for three years.
